We had our first experience at GB this year and thoroughly enjoyed it. Both my husband and myself were festival (and camping) virgins and are now totally hooked and counting down to GB11.

My main gripe however was the price of the cup of tea we had to buy on the Saturday morning, £1.50 per cup, that was totally extortionate by any means. We had to pay this because we could not bring our camping stove and gas canisters in, only to find that other people on the same tent pitch we were on were sneaking their stoves in and bragging they could make a cup of tea. Yes I did go and sneak my camping stove in as there was no way I was going to pay another £1.50 for a cup of tea on Sunday morning.

Also the price of the food I agree was expensive for the portions that you got. The food at the carribean stall was totally awesome even though it was still overpriced. Local takeouts are cheaper. I understand they have overheads to pay but lets face it they were all making a killing over the GB weekend.

Next year lets hope that Chris Dunn and Nick Harrow inform the guys they contract to serve food and drink to bring the prices down to a realistic figure. This way the proprietiers would make I believe a lot more money as more people would be willing to pay the prices.
