Review from -:Wolverhampton Wulfrun Hall

Heresy.
This band screams professional from start to finish and everything had been thought of for the night.
Starting with the look, these guys look rock and roll. From the wall of amps, to the rock and roll get ups, down to the 50's style SH55 microphone.
Heresy started with an intro track that got the crowd riled up and came on stage with a burst of energy that I have only seen before from professional bands on tour... Every member of the band (well, aside from the drummer) used every inch of the stage and put on a performance that fit instantly with the music - full of energy and full of finesse.
I remember seeing this band nearly 3 years ago, and they have certainly come a long way from where they were then, to where they are now. It's obvious that a lot of blood, sweat and tears have gone into creating a professional unit that just works.
As for the music, I really couldn't fault it... right up my street, hard rock/metal with emotive lyrics with plenty of hooks to keep you entertained.
Rob Harris really knows how to work a crowd! This band are definitely on my to see again list! They'd be really cool to see supporting some of the bigger bands that come round to the Wulfrun and try and give them the exposure they need to progress too! Keep your eyes peeled!

The standout track on the album by a considerable margin is "Beyond ALL Reason" a two movement piece comprising a lengthy Floyd inspired intro, with the main body of the song falling into Kamelot or Dream Theatre territory, a well structured composition. All things considered the album shows promise and I'll be interested to hear how future releases compare.

I’d been hearing good things on the circuit about these guys, so was eager to see them. Describing themselves as a progressive metal/ rock band, Heresy, provide a tight set with well structured songs, which make the most of the bands talents. It’s great to see a young rock band not afraid to use keyboards as a main driving force in their song writing and performing. I think too many people think you’re gonna get Nightwish style operatic rock when they see the keyboards come out, but no these guys use them to great effect. They also have that magic ingredient, stage presence. Front man Rob Harris holds his 50’s style mic like it’s his lover and projects an aura of confidence and some may say cockiness but for me that’s a key thing for a front man to have.

At The “Custard Factory” -: One of the standout Rock acts, Heresy cranked up the intensity for an even more impressive effort than when I saw them at The Rainbow. Progressive Rock complete with winding solos, heavy riffs, tight beats and atmospheric keys and synths, with the synths providing the perfect bed for some excellent guitar work (especially some first-rate solos) – they’ve got a great sound, a well developed identity and an ever growing legion of loyal, chanting fans. It should come as no surprise that they were one of the most popular acts of the evening, even those new to their music couldn’t help but be won over by their engaging, charismatic stage presence and by the sheer quality of their material. They are clearly a talented band and have got some real potential.
