Act Biography
Lambone Splinter formed from the remnants of Leicester band, Jumpers4Goalposts around 5 years ago. The band performs hi-energy acoustic arrangements of great songs from the 80s, 90s and noughties, often on unusual instruments. We started by playing open-mic nights at the Musician and did a few gigs at the Shed and The Attic. Since then we have managed to get some gigs through word of mouth and have got a pretty good set together. We play Can't Get You Out of My Head for example. Tainted Love is another one we do. We have recently added a few more numbers, some from last year, some from 30 years ago. Living on the Ceiling, A Forest, Love Machine, Disco Inferno, Babylon's Burning (Zorba the Greek does punk), and some more unfamiliar delights. It's serious but it's light-hearted, fun and entertaining. Our version of Mirror in the Bathroom is a cracker, kind of acoustic drum n bass.
We have recently played at events in Cambridgeshire, Wolverhampton, Burton-on-Trent and a Beer Festival in Uppingham.
