"SugaBeat" are a 4 piece, female fronted Pop / Funk group, based in Leicester. Formerly known as "BeatFunk", the band recently had a lineup reshuffle, consisting of Sarah Bird on lead vocal, Benn Hartmann on guitar, Ryan Field on bass and their newest edition, Tom Shepherd on drums.
SugaBeat have a killer live set, with energy and powerful melodies that are sure to get you singing and dancing along.
Influenced by many different artists, including Jimi Hendrix, Parliament Funkadelic, Stevie Wonder, James Brown, Sly Stone, Pink, Nikka Costa, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Lenny Kravitz to mention but a few.
The band have recently been working on a new album's worth of material and are unified in their mission to get you grooving.
SugaBeat have been performing around Leicester for the last year and are looking forward to playing the Glastonbudget festival again - after a great experience in 2010!
