Breaking out from the North East and armed to the back of their pearly whites with a tune-packed arsenal, Crafty Simian bring uncomplicated, guitar-driven, drum beat laden, post punk/ indie designed to put a smile on your face and get you moving on the dance floor.

After only a handful of gigs, a TV appearance (stage pass best of the bands 08) a mental night with Bez “that last band were top man” and a run in with the Dairy Milk Gorilla they released a single on Diffusion Records in January 09. After appearing in the NME unsigned section in November 09 the band are ready to take 2010 by storm!

2009 was a great year for Crafty Simian, supporting great acts such as Bez, Tom Hingley (inspiral carpets), Them:Youth & The Automatic, Playing some of the best unsigned venues in the UK... The Dublin Castle Camden, Roadhouse Manchester, o2 Academy Newcastle, Middlesbrough Live Festival and Speakeasy York.
