Act Biography
Formed in Summer 2008, Alternative Rock outfit Daedalus’ Right Eye have been making a name for themselves in their native Somerset/Wiltshire.
Originally, they came together as a group of friends who wanted to play music together, influenced by Coheed and Cambria, The Dear Hunter and The Hush Sound. Today they continue to do so, and their aspirations have grown immensely. To date they have played at big venues The Fleece and Firkin in Bristol and The Louisiana (twice). They also played the Moles Club and Paulton Battle of the Bands and garnered several positive reviews.
They play concept music revolving around a story set in the grizzly Old West town of Valentine Place, which they have written. This is in tune with their belief that music can be intelligent and thought-provoking, designed to intrigue people on multiple levels and appeal to all of their senses.
“[...] young, dynamic and hugely talented, this four-piece came armed with sparkling finely-developed songs [...] The band's songwriting skills is evident throughout as bright and breezy melodies cruised over well-honed lush lyrical delights. Polite and approachable off stage the band's charm translates on the stage.” - Dan Biggins, The Guardian
a passionate display. The repartee entertained the audience between the music, and the second song was wonderfully creative with imaginative guitar licks. The highlight of the set [...] got arses atwitching and feet astomping on the dance floor. I want to see more of everything from this band." - Jim Stevens, Moles Club Bath
