Oasish

Since the early days of Definitely Maybe, the number one selling debut album from Oasis, the whole world has been made to sit up and listen. This album alone changed the face of not only the British music scene, but the world over.

Oasish have now fine tuned their show so much so, that fans are now hailing them as being better than the real thing. Unlike other Oasis tributes, Oasish are a full 5 piece band and also play every single song note for note as it is on all of the albums. They have the look, the sound and most of all the ability to make any venue rock to the sounds of one of the most influential bands in history.

In recent years, the band has made numerous appearances on TV, Radio, National press and the odd fashion magazine. They have played the biggest and best stages possible and are very proud to be one of only two bands that have appeared at Glastonbudget Festival every single year its been running. The highlight was actually headlining the whole weekend this year (2009) and closing the festival with a remarkable show which not only included themselves on stage but also The Belladonna's on strings. They decided to make a big change and treat the headlining spot with the respect it deserves and go for broke with it by adding a string quartet AND live keyboards to the band.
It ended up being a great spectacle with everyone wondering how on earth Oasish could pull off the top spot at the worlds biggest tribute band festival. They did it and became the worlds first, and only, 10 piece tribute to Oasis and everyone who witnessed the event was completely blown away by what they had seen.
This wasnt just another headlining slot that had been seen down the previous years. This was something special. Something very, very special. Something so special that even the organisers were left wondering how on earth any other band could top that performance in the coming years.

The vocal delivery given by Paul Higginson is based on how Liam sings live making every show as authentic as possible. The "Noel" plays either the exact copy Gibson Les Paul or the actual Noel Gallagher Union Jack signature model he designed. Everything is so precise that many would, and in fact have, been fooled into thinking they were watching the real thing.

As one lucky fan once said, "Oasish were far more entertaining than the real thing on the 2 occasions I have seen them. If they were ever on the same bill at the same time I would watch Oasish every time!!!"
